Amazing how one man's trash is another man's treasure. Cool find, free is the best price! It's kinda funny how people have different perspectives on things. Some people dream about owning a new $50,000 BMW, or million dollar home and some of us dream about finding a filthy old bicycle in disrepair in the dumpster (or behind an old shed)!

One thing that is interesting is the reaction of the sellers/givers that I've gotten old bicycles from. Some have been seemingly surprised that I would want the old bikes, and were pleased that I was happy. I think several of them have ultimately ended up thinking they were selling something cheap that has much more monetary value than they initially thought (due to my eagerness to buy immediately), they often can't understand why I would want to rehab old bikes unless I'm making a lot of money off of it. The funny thing is, even though I often get bikes for around $20.00 or less, I really don't think the sellers are getting a bad deal, often after the bikes have been rehabbed they are not worth much more on the market than I put into them (certainly not if my time is counted). So it's really not about the money, it's about the fun of the search, and the satisfaction of the restoration.
