PedalTraveler, Interesting question. To put all of my bikes on equal footing I factored in the intangible... value. Long story shortened, I think the beater bike I just completed comes out on top. Possibly because 100% reliability was the only requirement with upgrades and appearance a non factor I have spent less than $300 for the bike, the new parts and estimated cost of what was pulled from the parts bin.
