It is a Giant built Nishiki, because the head badge is not the Kawamura Nishiki head badge and the serial number is not Kawamura format.

The first digit of the Giant serial number of this era usually indicates the year of manufacture. Your serial number starts with "7", therefore 1977.

The frame tubing decal is the type used starting with 1978 model years. 1977 model year would have an oval shaped decal with Special 150 tubing.

Your frame was probably built in 1977 for the 1978 model year. This is not a 1979 model year as that year had a unique decal layout which your bike does not have.

In 1978, I believe, Giant only built the Sport model for Nishiki.
