Hehe, I think you might be right regarding any bike built specifically for commuting, eg my Dawes has guards and I do try too ride it when the weather poor but on that day in the AM it was nice so I took a punt and too the Cannondale, Unfortunately it poured down in the evening.

I prefer too take the Cannondale whenever I can as it's much lighter. Fingers crossed the weather here will start too pick up asap.
