I suppose that it's temp and climate related more than anything else. I find in the heat or warmer weather, my bibs are much less comfortable because there is just more lycra against my skin, and my lower back in particular. I have a few pairs of bibs with mesh and not solid lycra in the suspenders and they are more comfortable. If having plumber butt is an issue, well, wear those bibs son...
