The PICC line is a good thing, I've had them several times and it beats having to start new IV locations every few days. Hope that everything works out for you, that ruptured appendix can be really mean with the risk of sepsis and gangrene in the abdominal tissue from the release of toxins and such. Take care and rest up, let the docs get you better.
