When I ride to work, it is because I am essentially a desk jockey with my job. Riding is the antidote to our modern lifestyle which almost coerces people into being extremely sedentary. What do I find offensive? I find the prospect of my arteries clogging and hardening prematurely due to an extremely sedentary lifestyle to be offensive. Also, I don't care to spend needlessly at the gas pump.

It seems like no matter what we do in the 21st century we are always offending someone. I do what I think is right and don't much care what others think.
