Those designs are really cool! The way I ride, though, they'd leave my walls totally caked in gross mud and grease...

At the old place, I had a bike room, and the bike currently in use lived in the kitchen, where it wouldn't make too much of a mess. The new house is, in theory, ideal for bike storage: there's a garage (though it doesn't have power) and an unheated mud room.

Unfortunately, I had the hot idea to move in February in Wisconsin: the part of the yard leading to the garage of bikes is a skating rink, and it's incredibly difficult to get back to the mud room due to the snow and *ahem* car blocking the driveway. So, the winter bike is stuck chained out front until either the car or the snow go away. I'm guessing the car will be gone first.
