I had ergo style grips on my bike and grew to really dislike them.
As I changed positions from long climbs to downhills to in the city, my weight shifts on the bars and they would spin out of position. I was constantly trying to spin them into a comfortable tilt.
So I went with just a basic set of round grips from Bontrager and I've been happy. YMMV
