SOme manufacturers back in the day did that with the angles, as larger the frame steper angles, they add more reach that way and the center of mass is moved to the right place helping to the handling and the fit, stiffer frame aswell. Nice bike man

It's the fat tubes on the colnago that make it look smaller. Also the sloping top tube that is all the rage today makes head tubes look long. I also have an old bottecchia that is 63cm. The headtube is the same length as the colnago. It looks a bit weird because of its steep angles.
