Mid race my seatbones started to hurt, and this pain/weakness transferred to my calf muscles. I could barely stay on the bike. Anyway, tried to stay near first half and just get back in to the groove of things. I ended up in the wind way too much too. With three to go there was a crash in front of me. I either did a stoppie or slid my front wheel. In either case stayed up right and went around the carnage. Caught up to main pack and stayed to the side. Then there was another crash. Thankfully this one was away from me, but still had to bridge. On last lap on third corner dude slid out (apparently his tubular rolled), and took most of the field with him. Well whatever was left anyway. Ended up latching to someones wheel and finishing around top 15 or so. I didn't even bother sprinting, my legs hurt so much. After I got off the bike my legs were shaking.
I have to say this was the worst race in a long time, and I don't know why I even bother now. My legs are still hurting. I don't know why my seatbone starts to hurt now during hard intervals. It started this winter. Nothing really changed in my fit. This is extremely frustrating. Going to talk to my doc tomorrow, but he is fairely useless when it comes to things like this. I would ask to be referred to specialist, but I don't even know to whom.
Pretty good result for feeling crappy!
As for the seat-bones issue, sounds like the dr. you need to see is a bike fit specialist. (I've never had a bike fit fwiw, but maybe it would help)
