As far as I see three differences pop up: 1. the price difference 2. the weight difference 3. the shape difference.

If you can lock up your front wheel on a descent and go over the bars, your brakes work well enough. In my opinion brakes are one of the least bang for the buck upgrades you can make. Kool stop pads will do more for you than going from Tektros to Ultegra.
