I do this to attach an Edge 500 to a day pack strap for hiking. Funny how I never thought of doing the same on a wrist strap. Silly me.

And I just bought the Garmin wrist strap that puts the Edge sideways on your wrist. Oh well, it was under $10 and included a zip-tie mount that I'll put on another bike anyway.
