I have an android phone (HTC Wildfire) and a few years ago, I installed MapMyRide to it. I have the Free version with annoying ads, but it doesn't bother me that much. I also have the option of Live Tracking and it works well. My friend has an iPhone 5s and also uses MapMyRide, but cannot get the Live Tracking feature to work.

Is there a difference between the Android and iPhone app? Will she have to pay to be able to use the Live Tracking option with an iPhone opposed to the Free version?
