Comparing the ride of the Montague vs something like a Specialized Hardrock Sport ( which I think is about the same price range) The Montague was quite abit heavier. I would not be surprized if the Montague weighs more than the 29lbs that they say it is. The bike was not as responsive and felt top heavy. If you plan on doing alot of off roading the Montague did not seem to track as well (which could have been the tires). It did not seem to be a great hill climbing bike also.

I sold it because the folding feature was not used as much, and I was willing to take the time to take off the wheels on a non-folding bike which rides nicer and has better performance) for putting it into a car (which I do now).

If I was using the folding feature alot, I might have kept it. If you are planning to ride mostly streets, I think I would choose a folder with smaller wheels.
