So....when testing and training with power, power is just power, yes? By that I mean, uphill is the same as flat and so on. You're just assessing the force applied to the pedals over xx minutes? Obviously, uphill is better as that ensures you're applying a constant force to the pedal vs flat/downhill where there is potential to coast for some duration.
I ask because there is a pretty open stretch of access road out this way that is more or less flat and I am considering it as a viable option for testing.
