To my eye, the Don Walker tandem had exquisite brazing and was a definite contender. I went over to look at Dave's machines, but Chris Bishop was there hanging out and I didn't want to interrupt their conversation so I never really got a chance to look closely at any of the Ellis machines at the show. I know Dave's work is hard to beat so I can see how he ended up with the brazed frame win. Notable is that while Chris Bishop was there, he did not set up a display. I'm guessing his build queue is so full right now he doesn't need to display at NAHBS.
