Bikes: Much modified 60's Carlton Corsa, Marin East Peak, Kona Caldera, Challenge Mistral

Gently prise up the end of the grip and spray between grip and bar with (cheap) aerosol hair spray. Work the grip loose (spray in more if needed). If you repeat the process when re-fitting the grips, the dried hairspray will hold the grips in place (obviously you need to leave them ~24hours after fitting for the hair goo to dry). And they smell nice
