thanks for the well-wishes all. surgery went well with the installation of another plate and more screws, not pins as i'd thought. i have a nerve block which i'e never had before and makes my entire left arm totally dead. really strange and uncomfortable but virtually no pain.

on the bright side, my surgeon said i may be running again by april 1! probably another month or so until riding though.

my new brooks team pro and gel cork tape arrives today and i've nothing but time to get the shallow drop bars and 110mm stem i need. think i'll reward myself with the chrome thomson stem and seatpost for all the patience and suffering!
