I set up my daughter's bike with Tektro brake levers and interrupters like that and, since we ride the same size, I discovered that I like them. I may set up one of mine like that. I kept the original MAFAC calipers on hers.

I used to have interrupter brakes on almost all of my drop bar bikes before but I found it works best with wider bars. I always had Tektro's but just could not resist shiny looks of Soma's
Yes, that's the idea - was not looking forward to removing tape, etc. Ordered sunlite stem today so hopefully will be here sometime next week.
