there was a BF member (I forgot exactly who) who went to a carbon bike show. He saw a Time representative compare different carbon frames by putting a hammer to them. The time one was much harder to destroy compare to cannondale.
I once tried the same test on inflatable sheep, but those things can really take a pounding.
