When I first spotted this thread's title, I assumed it would somehow come around to the huge difference between the very early RB1's and those that followed. The later ones had quite a bit in common with many other bikes, perhaps some out of the same factory, I don't know.
The early RB1's are really something special, but I've never owned one.
Off topic, but I am curious about this remark. I always thought the later RB1's were the more unique with their longer top tube and, for the last two years, biplane fork crown. What is it about the early ones that makes them particularly special?
