Newbie: Tire Recommendation

So I'm going on a short 3 trip. I'm biking out to the Ouachita National Forest(62miles) and camping for the night. Then riding down to Lake Ouachita the next day(50 miles), finally day 3 will be a 60mile ride down a small scenic HWY wear I'll probably be picked up bc the rest of the way is all hwy with hardly any shoulder and I don't have the extra day to reverse course.

Ill be carrying my gear on a rack with panniers. I'm packing very light with a 4.5lb tent, a few changes of clothes, mainly bars and fruit, and water.

My question is this. I have a cyclocross bike and have road tires and light trail tires. The trail tires are Kenda Wuicks. I'll be on concrete nearly the entire way but will venture onto dirt for a few miles. I'm not worried about the dirt part but will I be better off with the wider trail tires for stability?

I've never done this before but I do plan on loading up and taking a quick spin to see how things go.

What do you think?
