You did a good job and a seatpost clamp should fit well. A Ti clamp is certainly elegant but by no means essential. Both of my newer Litespeeds and my Surly came with stainless steel clamps and they have held the seatposts in place for years. Also, I assume you are aware that these clamps are available in several diameters and that you measured the OD of your seat tube accurately.
