Bingo! Cycling has gotten way to complicated. The average person doesn't know where to start. For what should be an easy thing, riding a bike, has become a needlessly technical, overly complicated, and ridiculously expensive pursuit. Who would have thought that people would pay big money to be "fitted" to their bikes. Or that wheels could run into the thousands of dollars. I would not want to be just getting into cycling these days. The views and opinions of those "into" the sport are so warped. I basically ride what most would consider old obsolete junk. But it works. And I enjoy the ride.
