greetings forum. i am a new addition but have been reading regularly over the past couple of months as i prepare to purchase a bike for the coming season. i have found a nice BIANCHI ALLORO in my size im planning to ride this weekend and i wondered if any might help me to ballpark a fair price (understanding geographical market fluctuation). the owner is asking $450 but i was hoping more to spend around $300/$350. the bike is listed as an 1987 but after reading an archived post my guess is that its earlier (83/84?). it looks to be very clean throughout (from what pictures are available) and mostly original (GRAN SPORT drive train/MODOLO brake set/etc). one curiosity might be the fork (looks chrome; not matching ANTHRACITE finish?). any help that anyone might be able to offer i would appreciate. im just looking to be in range.

i would ALSO be interested in the impressions of current/prior ALLORO owners as to their experience with the bike and their thoughts on its use as a daily rider/commuter for a newb.
