I thought the main advantage of the roller bearing HS was:
1 Increased resistance to dampen shimmy in low trail geometries. You do not have this.
2 Increaesed resistance to hardening/pitting due to high loads from touring. You do not have this.

The logical choice would be to stay with the current HS and avoid self inflicted problems.
