Pro fitters aren't magic. But they are a trained set of eyes that can see things going on with your position that you can't, and they spend a lot of time talking with serious cyclists about what works and what doesn't, position wise.
Locally, a basic fitting runs about the same price as an hour massage. That's not too much to pay for something that could increase your comfort and performance, not to mention save wear and tear on your body.
