How often do you get a bike fit?
My view is the more you ride, the more in tune you become with your body and your bike. I start out this time of year with my saddle lower, sometimes I tilt the bars up slightly, in order to accommodate my out of shape body. As I ride more my saddle goes up and the bars flatten out. As my conditioning improves I change my position on the bike. Saddle fore and aft changes as well, perhaps the tilt to. I can't imagine getting a fitting and leaving the bike set up in that position and not making changes as my body changes.
Thats why I can't understand how a fitting can work. I would need a weekly fitting in the summer. But thats the beauty of cycling. The interaction of body and machine. Tuning into your bidy, learning how to get more comfortable, knowing what needs to be adjusted to make it more efficient, thats the process, not paying some guy to do it for you. If you can't feel whats right, and when you are positioned correctly, and feeling one with your bike, then you're missing a huge part of the cycling experience.
