I have to agree with this. It's one thing to vent about work, we all do it, but usually not the first couple of weeks of training. I wouldn't go out of your way to be mean to her or overly nice to her either. Just be cordial and and keep the talk light. Maybe even tell her that she should bring up these issues with her supervisor as there's nothing you can currently do for her. It sounds like this could be a simple fix, if she just let someone know what was happening, rather than complaining about it to random other people.
