I think people "fall in love" (per se) with a bike as a whole (or the frame) more than what it's made out of....People's standards make them choose the frame material.

Because you will probably like a bike more when the geo matches your body and the material does not match your standards compared to a bike where the material matches your standards and the geo does not match your body.
