Question about wsd bikes
I'm hoping to get a new road bike in the next year and I'm a little confused about wsd bikes. I know one of the differences between wsd and men's frames is a shorter top tube to reduce reach, but, couldn't you accomplish the same thing by getting a smaller frame in a men's bike and raising the seat? The reason I ask is because there is so much more available in men's bikes w/ better components for a better price. Also, if I you need to change out some of the parts for wsd parts (shorter reach brake levers, narrower handlebars), do stores typically let you do that free of charge?
