You want to make the NDS spokes more parallel to the rim or the DS spokes less parallel to the rim. You usually cannot do the latter, but with the asymmetric extrusion/drilling you can make the NDS spokes more parallel to the rim. So put the bulge in the rim on the NDS. That will move the NDS spokes' threaded ends away from the center of the rim and they will look a little more like the DS spokes in angle. That is what you need.
