I like it.I hate running on pavement, I like running off road, I love RIDING off road. I enjoy the courses where there is more running required because they are usually more painful. A course through open field would be a lot more adventurous then riding through a taped out course. the more adventurous the race the more fun I have.
Someone should host a race from point A to point B with no course maps or preriding. The winner is the person who arrives the fastest, even if that means swimming across a pond with your bike or bushwacking through a forest.
