When I get properly dressed for the cold and go for a ride, I am perfectly comfortable. As I pedal I create the right amount of heat. The wicking clothing gets the sweat out so I almost don't feel sweaty. Then I get home change to street clothes and take Bailey for a walk, or drive his dog sitter home. Then I'm freezing!!
Isn't that backwards? The more I ride in the cold the worse it seems to get.
My guess is that after you stop riding your metabolism slows down and then the temperature catches up to you.
