Well, the particular road I'm referring to was somewhat damp, which didn't help matters. There was about a 7% grade (DOWN). And I was having fun letting it all hang out when I realized I'd gotten past the point of being able to really shut things down if necessary. The Dura Ace brakes got me stopped but not on my own schedule, rather theirs.
