Some police actually do care. I was riding with a friend the other day on a winding back road. We were climbing so going pretty slow. Care buzzed by us pretty close and also crossed over the double yellow line. Cop was coming the other way and did a quick u-turn and pulled the guy over. It was very gratifying riding by and giving the driver a smile while he was getting a ticket. Actually was worried he would hunt us down after cop left. Car vs. bike always wins.
