I've had my 110 since last year, ridden plenty of other bikes and bought a newer Bridgestone since then, and I still consider the 110 to be the best bike I've ever ridden. I'd love to get my hands on a higher end model, but they don't show up very often in my area. Great, great bikes. Miyata knew what they were doing.
My grandfather, who ran a bike shop in Ames for the better part of 20 years (and still has a repair service in town), had the pleasure of attending a "meeting of the minds" during the fine period of lawsuits regarding quick release tabs, and met personally with Mr. Miyata himself. He says that "everybody in the room was the stereotypical loud CEO/President except for Mr. Miyata. He was a true gentleman." The man is an encyclopedia of bicycle history, and he holds Miyata bikes in very high regard when it comes to Japanese vintage. There's good reason for it: they're damn good bikes.
