Bikes: 1974 Motobecane Grand Record, 1987 Miyata Pro, 1988 Bob Jackson Lady Mixte (wife's), others in the family

Somewhere in a thread a while back, someone else posted about their experience working in a bike shop back in the day, and meeting Mr Miyata. His experience was the same. And more than once I've seen comments from people who worked in shops in the 80s about how well set up Miyatas were, right out of the box.

BTW up until a few years ago there was still an office in the US that apparently would handle any Miyata warranty claims--though Miyata had left the US bike market in the early 90s! I found the contact info when googling Miyata info after getting into C&V about five years ago.
