Good point about being out of practice fixing flats. Should be able to do it in under 5 minutes soup to nuts.

I need to rotate the front tire to the rear and rear to front. Been avoiding that task. I need to think of it as practice.

When I used to do long distance, loaded touring a spare tire was always in the bottom of the pannier. Probably makes sense to carry a light replacement tire on a long Rando in remote areas. I don't think I am ever more than 20 miles from a bike shop where I normally ride.
