nice, but, got a topper for you there: the Tuesday weeknighter a few weeks back, "A" race starts and after about 5 laps of pretty fast aggressive racing, I get passed by one of our local legend cat 1's, who I never even saw at the start. He goes on to win, naturally.

Later I get the story. He showed up late, grabbed bike, put on helmet and shoes, throws $20 at the reg table (number already pinned from last week) and has not even pulled up his bibs yet, gets in the race almost a lap down, takes off his jersey, pulls up the bibs, puts jersey back on (all of this on a 6-turn, windy, short crit course), zips up, proceeds to catch and pass the field. FTW.

I guess he had enough warmup.
