other than the bike on my rollers, i leave 4 other bikes with SRMs in my uninsulated garage in wyoming all winter. it's often below freezing in there (when it is sub-zero outside for weeks).
30F isn't a big deal and should not drain the batteries.
sounds like something else weird. report back to us when you figure it out.
