Tour de Marin - May 18th - Support Marin Bicycle Coalition!

REGISTER

Join the Marin County Bicycle Coalition in its 15th Anniversary year on the Tour de Marin!

This beautiful West Marin road ride is a fundraiser for MCBC to continue making Marin the most enjoyable place to ride - we look forward to your participation.

This year's 38-mile route will take riders through San Rafael, San Anselmo and Fairfax on well marked bike routes before ascending White Hill to reach the San Geronimo Valley. From there the route climbs CeCs’s Hill and then rolls through redwood trees and past horse stables on the way to the Nicasio rest stop.

The route then heads East on Lucas Valley Road past Skywalker Ranch and Big Rock and then takes a scenic tour around China Camp State Park before heading back to Whole Foods Market for a post-ride party and vendor fair.

There will be lots of food along the ride (at three rest stations), including fine gourmet cuisine from Marin artisan cheese and other local producers!

All ride levels welcome, no one is left behind. The ride will be well supported, with ride leaders, sweepers, course marshals and SAG (support and gear) wagon courtesy of Mike's Bikes. MINI of Marin will provie a pace and SAG vehicle, Mt.Tam Express Contryman. And there will be plenty of great wholesome food and drink to sample at the post-ride party in the Whole Foods Market parking lot!

Tour de Marin proceeds will support MCBC's work to expand Marin's bicycle network of safe bike lanes, pathways, bridges, tunnels and trails.

The first 400 people to register will receive a FREE 2014 Tour de Marin T-shirt thanks to Whole Foods Market.

We are planning another great route to highlight the work your contribution supports. You'll experience Marin’s network of safe bike lanes and pathways, and enjoy scenic visits, like Big Rock and the Nicasio energizer station. Check back soon for route details.
