nope--before and after each ride is all i need. the units i own now read the same offset + or - 1 unit after every ride, even if i bring them from inside at 70F and ride at 35F outside. i don't test offset that frequently unless i am breaking in a new unit and want to prove it is good...or if i have reason to suspect a problem.
