That's a good point, it could have been dangerous. But, I was having a great 103 mile ride that day. I chose to have a nice day. I have better things to do than teach idiots a lesson, that they probably won't learn. They already know it was the wrong thing. They don't care, or/and think they won't get caught.
Losing time in the middle of a nice ride, to talk to the cops etc. would shorten my ride time. Again, I chose to ride and enjoy it. When I add in stopping to eat, take photos, and go to the bathroom 103 miles turns into a long day.

You have the same two choices. There's no reason you need to do what I did. But, what's better, riding on rural roads, or filing a complaint talking to the cops, in the city?

I'm not saying that I would never stop and call the cops, etc. It depends on what I want. My point is simply that you have a choice. I might chose to do something about it on another day. But, when I want to, not when they want me to.
