So my dad is a serious runner, boston among other marathons all the time. Ended up in the hospital with an electrolyte embalance. Basically to much water. He is fine now just posting as its not something you hear about all to often.

It's actually more common than not enough, and way more serious. People are told to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and I it's not right. Drink when you're thirsty and train your body to tell you. Your dad was lucky, many people in this situation don't make it.
