If you have a LBS that you trust available, I'd consider handing the frame in to be prepped. E.g. BB shell faced, threads chased, seat tube reamed, and head tube reamed and faced. Oh, and I'd string the frame up and check rear triangle alignment. Something like what engine builders call "blueprinting".
