You could probably mod your chucks to make them clipless-compatible. You'd want to put a hard plastic plate in there (cut to the shape of the shoe, of course), cut a hole in the sole for the cleat to stick though, drill the requisite holes in the plastic plate so as to affix the cleat, then lay a cushy insole over it for comfort. Or, if you have some old baseball or soccer cleats that you like the look of, they come with the hard plastic sole built in, so get out the dremel and make it happen.
