Gatorskins. I couldn't ride with the way Armadillos feel. They hold up pretty damn well to skidding.

These days though, skidding (and skipping) is just an emergency tactic or for doing tricks. Save your tires by picking your lines and flow.

Buying ~$30 tires regularly gets old real quick.
