I did finally decide on a HotShot with a rack mount. It came in at around $40 shipped in the US and I'll have a friend forward it to me here. Should be here in a month or so and I'll try to report back on how it is.
Great! I got my Hotshot recently and from an initial test have been pretty impressed with the brightness. Noticeably brighter than the Radbot, even with fresh batteries. Just have to install my new rack now and then try the rack mount. Hopefully I will get to do it this weekend.
Glad you didn't order the cheaper SL - I think the SL lacks some of the features that makes the normal one so nice, but supposedly they have the same LED so not sure if one is any less bright.
